Budget

    Hi all,

Sorry for newbie question... I have spent a fair amount off time on the search but not too much joy.

    I currently have a vts which has 266's, lowered 40mm and has a 4-2-1.

My question/help is I have a budget of about £800 left (as of today). I would like to increase the bhp but not too sure of what's best to do....

I was thinking 743 cams and an exhaust but is this the only things I can do with my budget?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I personally wouldn't go cams without a Predator ECU and remap, but that's out your budget.

PS you DON'T need mega BHP to have a quick VTS. You could look into other things, suspension, interior, exterior etc

Why standerd ecu can be mapped for for cams, obvs not to full advantage but on just cams it will be fine. I would go for a pred ecu for big mods like bodies or boost.

Op i run catcam 743's on my 16v the ecu has been mapped with rev limit taken to 7800rpm, makes much better power then it did when it was standerd.

    Cheers for the replies guys.

To get the best out of cams and a remap, would I need an exhaust too?

Would I be right in thinking chipwizards will remap a standard ecu? How much is the remap from them?

    Cheers

So I could take full advantage, obviously.
