106 quicksilver, what inlet?

    I just recently bought a 106 quicksilver I heard you can change the inlet manifold to produce power gains, is this correct?

    If so, what inlet am I looking at?

    Alot of people fit the Saxo VTR Inlet on them mate, not sure on the gains to be had but that is what i read on tinternet when i was looking at getting a Quiky, google it!

    Mines a "s" reg so would I need a "s" reg vtr inlet?

    Am I right in thinking the quicksilver loom will accept anything?
    I am told there universal or something lol

    eh? a universal loom?? lol the loom will fit a quicky inlet, if another inlet such as a vtr one fits then thats just by coincidence, but yea some people fit them, not worth it just enjoy your car, if you want more power fit a vts engine, simplest, easiest, cheapest way of getting power end of.

    a s1 106 rallye inlet is also a popular upgrades on 8v engines, but without a decent head, cam and remap along with other breathing mods then its not worth it, imo its not worth tuning an 8v at all, unless you have money to burn to do something different

    to get any 8v engine on par with a vts engine is expensive especially a 1.4

    You'd need a Mk1 VTR inlet otherwise it won't fit mate - they're not universal as they're slightly different lumps.
