Vtr engine conversion

    Hi i've got a mk2 vtr and a mk1 vts engine i want to convert it but dont want want to swap the interior loom as ive heard their a right pain, can someone tell me what i need to do and roughly how much its going to cost much appreciated Luke.

    Loom splice and variable prices, my suggestion would be don't do it, and I've done one..

    Okay thanks would it be easier to buy a mk2 engine then?

    Mk 2 three plug engines are a nightmare to get a hold of

    What i did was change all the mk1 sensors to mk2 not the cheapest way tho , better than f-ing about with splicing looms though IMO

    Yeah, ill make a list of what youv gotta do/get
    3 plug vts loom
    3 plug vts ecu - unlocked

    once youv got the loom plug as much into the 16v engine as possible anysensors that dont plug in need to be swapped to mk2 sensors that you can unbolt of the vtr and just bolt to the vts

    note some sensors may plug in but not work correctly if they are a different colour to the ones on the mk2 engine use mk2 sensors for those too
