turbo oil feed from block mk2 VTR

    hey guys first day for me on here so if im in the wrong place please push me in the right direction.

    right ive search an endless amount of turbo threads now and i still cant find the answer im looking for, ive got a 2001 (Y) reg saxo mk2 VTR and ive got all the bits to turbo it but im lost on how to feed the turbo with oil, ive got the return sorted but not the feed. i havent got a remote oil filter just a relocation to mk1 thats all, so where do i take the feed from to the turbo.

    convert to mk1 oil filter setup use a renault stumpy short oil filter

    remove the blanking plug from the middle of the block where the oil pressure switch would be on the mk1s thread size iirc is m16x1.5 oil feed line will be circa 15 or so from you local hyrdraulics place in braided thats what it cost me last time

    id get a T piece whist at your hydraulics place so you can still use your oil pressure switch

    one more problem guys, the turbo that ive got has 4 oil feed lines, which one go where im soo confused, ive never seen this before. its a garrett 2.2 turbo originally from a saab 2.0 turbo petrol

    4 oil feed lines?? Are you sure its not a watercooled turbo, oil inlet/outlet and coolant inlet/outlet

    2 holes will be for a oil inlet and outlet and another 2 for water inlet and outlet.

    You can see which is for the oil, look into the holes and you will see a shiny bar ( the shaft), this one is for oil

    Failing that the water inlet and outlet are noticeably bigger than oil in/out

    don,t forget the restrictor in the oil feed

    I'm a doughnut, thanks guys, I've ran the turbo without a restrictor and I'm guessing that it needs one because its smokes like a chimney out the back end, the seals are ok still as I had only just rebuilt it so do you think I can just put a restrictor on and get away with it or have I wrecked the seals, also how big are the holes in a restrictor so I know which one to get

    If its smoking out the back, it's likely you have fucked the seals I'm sorry to say mate and the size of the restrictor (banjo) depends on what turbo you have

    Damn that's shit news, it's amazing how quickly you can fuck the seals as I said I've only just changed them both, I'm not sure what turbo it is but it's from a saab 2.0

    If its from a 2.0 Saab then it sounds like its a t25, check compression first to see its not rings etc, but sounds like new turbo time tbh

    If you do need a new t25 turbo, speak to Blackie off here as i think he's selling a near new one
