Ecu fault

I'm looking at a furio 3 plug ecu. The guy selling says it has an ecu fault but won't start, can I just put the ignition on take out the immobiliser and replace the ecu with an unlocked one?

He's saying something about a new ecu and key code and key from another saxo?

    Can anyone help?

No you need to turn the car on (engine running) then remove the imobiliser to unlock a ecu

if your replacing with a unlocked ecu all you need to do before hand is remove the imobiliser.

What hes talking about is if you get a ecu from scrap make sure you get: a ECU, the key and the imobiliser (older saxo's had a key code but your wont as its 3 plug)

    Wrong.

Car can be on the 2nd key click and immo unplugged to unlocked it,

Must make sure immo is unplugged in your car or it will lock it.
