Split Cat Pipe and engine mount issues...

    Hey all.
Having a little trouble with the 03 VTR.
Had an exhaust blow which i went to get welded today, on the front Cat Pipe (Mani Cat job)...

Upon looking, pipe is split in several places, looks due to stress in honesty.

I've noticed the engine moves, but the top gearbox mount is new, as it the lower rear one - When put in gear with the handbrake on, the engine still moves drastically, and the gearstick moves also noticably.

Is it likely that one of these new mounts is failing?
I've never known the one on the Cambelt / ECU side to fail, but am not exactly sure how to tell which one needs doing - Its bad enough that i need a new Cat now..

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Really?? this is the one that goes the most. Replaced loads of them.

Check it by undoing the 2 13 mm bolts and pull. If it comes off in your hand you need a new one can also remove the full mount and check for wear in the rubber under it.. The other 2 just take them off and check for stress marks / splits in the rubber.

Never had one go, seems the engine rocks a fair bit pointing to the brand new Lower one at the moment, how can i tell if the top one has gone as such then?
