#2upgrading will reduce engine movement. Are yours worn? broken? engine moves a lot?
tbh if its standard and they are find I wouldn't bother.. or even a set of new standard ones will be an improvement over older worn ones..
But unless its a tuned with bodies / turbo / charger or even running some decent high lift cams I wouldn't bother as the engine/gearbox wont be stressed enough to get full potential.
Saying that though, they do make it feel more responsive and better gear changes due to less movement, but on a standard / mild tuned engine personally wouldn't bother. -
#3well im turboing my saxo so was wondering best way to go?
-
#4I wouldnt bother upgrading them yet and would do it when you put the turbo on so do it at the same time. you putting a dump valve on?
-
#5well im doing the turbo now(have a progress thread) so thinking ahead, yes have a bailey's
-
#6Yes its worth upgrading can be pricey however for the two upper ones from some brands. uprated lower mount bush is a good cost conscious buy
-
#7ok mate thanks, you recommend any?
-
#8I use the purple powerflexes on my cars but you can get different ones such as group n or group A ones that are literally solid
-
#9ok mate, could you explain the group thing?

#12If going boost that will be the least of your worrysQuote:cheers mate, ill look into getting some when times right, need order intercooler & stuff yet

+1 on engine mounts.
They transform the car IMO.
Vibratechnics ECU + BOX with powerflex lower mount. - Minor vibrations.. -
#13"minor vibrations" lol
You get them just with a Powerflex lower mount and 2 OE engine mounts. I bet its more then "minor" with the stiffer ecu. gbox.. -
