Can anyone point me in the direction to a group A lower engine mount?
Can't find any on the tinterwebs!

Why do you need Grp A for a bog standard 16v?
  3. #3
Why not sir? And it won't be bog standard for that much longer, a set of cams are getting thrown in and some boddies when gav pulls his finger out of his ass!

Group A will be to much for a daily, you want group N.

group a is full solid isn't it?

Fuck that I have a urethane lower and it feels horrid on the way to work.

    What uppers do you have?
A group a lower will just pivot stock uppers and shear the bolt off.....

I ran group A in my daily
Entire dash vibrates sunroof rattles its a lot

On full chat theyre awesome though

I ran group A lower with standard uppers on my turbo for 8k and was fine

Ppl always say its too harsh and it's bollox, there's hardly any vibration, very good mod but ppl really need to get off the bandwagon with requoting forum bullshit about these

Cheers for all the comments, and I do plan on upgrading the uppers but gonna do the lower first as I've heard/read that's what makes te biggest difference, I don't really mind harsh vibrations tbh, but still can't seem to find where I can get one from though?!?

Its the upper ecu side that causes the vibrations

Ive seen 2 bolts snap on oe tops with harder lowers

With full interior the plastics do buzz but i loved with it tbh

Last time I checked you could still get the mounts direct from Peugeot Sport but you have to wait for a production run which could take some time...

Not sure on stock but try GMC

    Or Special Tuning!

When my car was a daily I had a Polybush lower mount that was 100 times better than standard, some extra vibration but not too much and at the price a very good cheap mod!

Yeah so just a lower wo t cause the masses I have group n uppers andA lower and love it

But just with lower there really shouldn't be that much, if there is I'd say your interior has been refitted aswel as it could of been after being out

on the puhpsort mounting kit the only difference betqween grp n grp A is the ower mounting both the ecu mtg + g/boxside are the same in both kits

Hadnt been out as far as i was aware
I have the pugsports so group n uppers solid lowers

Got group ns in the yellow gti daily aswell theyre fine in it the a is just that little more it makes it shake

    Still though
I wouldnt go such a stiff lower on oe uppers
Your asking to break them from what ive seen

I think of they've been snapped the mounts must have been in really bad shape, my car (figures aside) makes decent torque and its been great

I'm actually thinking of going back to just the group A lower as the N uppers I think are going to be the death of my gearbox

I cant comment on condition as not my car lol but i know the end issue was broken bolt in the upper mount

Ive not had issues running all 3
Just buzzy plastics but it wasnt untolerable in my eyes
A few people said otherwise though

As alexb said, i've got pugsport group N ECU and gearbox mounts with a powerflex lower mount

vibrates the car to shit but i love it
