Exhaust manifold help!

  1. #1
    Hello, me again

Bought a 4-2-1 8v manifold for new car. But I have a problem... The new manifold only has one lamba sensor and the oem has 2 is there a way of bypassing old one? Or am I going to need a new manifold?

    Cheers

    Just sleeve the second one.
Or get a boss welded in after the cat if you have one to do it proerply

    😳 Do what? Lol

sleeve the second lambda in a screw on metal sheath, it'll reads clean air so it doesnt put the EML on.
Or get someone to cut the exhaust - a boss is a threaded adaptor that is welded into the exhaust so a lambda sensor can screw into it

you can just put the lambda sensor in that and cable tie it out of the way somewhere

Just screw the lambda in there and keep it out of the way. Kam racing also do the boss which is a nut that it screws into but you would need to take it to a garage and get them to drill a hole in the manifold and weld the boss in so it reads the clean air. Using the sleeve may be a bit more crude but works and is simple.

Thanks for all the help guys!

Just fitted the supersprint to car and noticed there's one of them boss' welded on to the centre section. All I have to do now is extend exsiting lambda sensors, and try and get them out of the oem manifold :/
