Unlocking an ecu

   Basically I have a keypad immobiliser in the car it's is so long putting the code in every time.....
   
   I was wondering would 'unlocking' the ecu cause keypad to be redundant as it wud jus start of the key?
   
   I've rear you have the engine running and unplug the box?
   
   Is this process reversible.

   Start the car, disconnect the keypad
   Job done
   
   Unsure if it can be reversed though

   Adams right, and can be reversed by plugging the keypad back into it.
