Hey guys, I'm currently looking at a Saxo 1.4 Furio which a neighbor is selling at a bargain price. The thing is its high milage so i will be changing the engine but would prefer to change to a VTS engine. Could anyone please list what would be needed to do this? It's a furio 2000 model

#2first of all is it a 3 plug ecu or single plug on your furio?

#3I'm not sure mate, I've looked at the whole in and outside of it it;s in good condition. I havent looked/ checked the ECU to see if it's a 3 or Single. Where is the ECU at? (im not very good at cars mechanically, just know basics + few extra;s lol)

#4If you open the bonnet it will sit above the wheel arch on the drivers side. It may have a plastic cover on it and there will either be a large single plug plugging into it or three smaller onesQuote:I'm not sure mate, I've looked at the whole in and outside of it it;s in good condition. #5Being a 2000 Furio will be single plug.
Not being funny if you have no clue forget the idea or pay someone. -
#6simple enough mate, but as said above, if you have no idea dont do it pal, if youre anywhere near huddersfield/leeds/wakefield etc gimme a shout

but , the basics youll need are, an unlocked ecu , the engine ( including exhaust manifold etc ), loom, top rad hose, gear cable ( for the throttle cable, 1.99 from halfords ) and thats it, would also be wise to while the engine is out to do the timing belt/new plugs/new oil filter!
the conversion can be done easily within half a day if everything goes smoothly, but if i were you i would save a hundred or so just incase you run into issues! -
#7cheers guys. haha nah i wont be doing the conversion myself, i'll get someone to do that. i just wanted to know what was needed to complete the conversion apart from the engine/gearbox and loom as thats all i knew of. thanks lads
