Vts conversion in the East Midlands area

  1. #1
    Hi guys,

Just a quick question: I'm currently looking to buy a VTR and put a VTS lump into it, just wondering if there is anyone on here that's in the East Midlands (Nottingham) area that can do a vts engine conversion, and how much would you charge to do it?

    Cheers

Why not search for a VTR thats already had its VTS conversion done ?

Or to save time, just buy a sorted VTS!

Either way you'll save a fortune and be able to drive it straight away.

It's hard to find a VTR/furio that's had a VTS conversion for sale, especially one that's in reasonably decent condition. Same with the VTS's, not a lot of them around and the ones that are for sale have either got v high mileage or are asking for too much IMO.

I've seen a fair amount of VTS's being broken and the engine for sale with ok mileage on which is why I was thinking of getting a VTR and doing a swap. I used to have a VTR with a VTS lump in a few years ago and loved it, plus (correct me if I'm wrong) the VTR gearbox with a VTS engine is a slightly tastier set up?

aslong as you have all the bits and bobs its easy, a one day job,
wiring loom is the thing that needs to be sorted before hand too make things go smoothly.
my mate has a black mk2 thats a vtr-vts conversion shell was pretty mint when we did the conversion. engine was sub 60k, i reckon he'd be interested to sell if you made him a half decent offer.
he has a build thread on here. i'll try and find it if your interested.

Is it for sale then? As long as he's not miles away from me and the price is right then I might well be interested. Yeah if you could link the build thread to me that'd be great. Cheers
