    On standard internals? then the most popular on here are the Newman ph3s and catcam 743s

    no im after cam shafts and pullys . what are cat cams ?? iv seen fast road are they better

    Cat cam are a company that make cams, there one of the biggest

    I used catcam 708's in my last engine, was great, not sure on the 743 though, I'm lead to believe you need solid lifters?

    Cam pulleys are a waste of money, just buy the standard 106 gti ones (they are fully adjustable) can get them for like circa ~£20

    Then run a predator ecu to get the most, coupled with a 4-1 and a full exhaust (4-1 seems to pick up harder at lower rev range, and with cams.. You have a shitty lower rev range, just feels gutless

    Should see 150, I did..

    743's dont need solid lifters they have essentially just replaced 708's.

    On standard internals catcam 708's or now 743's are the most popular, I had 708's in my previous vts and they were great. Used standard pulleys and timing.

    Saxo vts pulleys are the same as gti ones lol

    So standard internals then lol fast road aren't a brand its just describing the type of cam, ph3s 708s and 743s are all classed as fast road

    Catcam 743's ftw..

    I run on standerd internals (J4)
    Run on standerd map and and timed up to standerd timing marks.

    Runs fine, can be lumpy on warm days.

    iv currently got 4-2-1 piper mani with raceland center pipe on a sniper backbox. also a bmc cda induction kit with 3 pipes coming of it to ram air down it. im gona get it remap or chip and cams. what do u think ill be running after that ???

    u should see 140+ bhp, they recone 150 bhp off that sort of set up, but to save a big debate, 140+
