on the manifold i'm about to put on my xsi, (a gmc/btb 4-1) I have just realised the bracket that bolts to the gearbox underneath has been cut away, worth worrying about? don't wanna go snapping/bending exhaust pipes that's all, seems a hell of a weight to put the exhaust studs on the head

#2No it will be fine..
-
#3Its made with a bracket, it's supposed to have one.
It will probably be ok without one but personally for a few quid, I would get one. -
#4some manifolds dont even come with them fitted, so I reckon it'll be fine
-
#6could just get a bit of scrap metal cut and drilled to fit, but I reckon it'll be fine
-
#7my supersprint mani didnt come with one. I'd say you will be fie
-
#8I've used my SS mani without a bracket (didnt come with one) for over 2 years now, be fine.
-
#9I cut mine off because it didn't line up! My sump guard has rested on the manifold numerous times after a big impact and is completely fine! Don't worry about it!
-
#10on my 1.5D the exhaust hangs entirely from the manifold and the back box
-
#11To the op if your worried then find a scrap exhaust, cut the bracket off & weld onto the new exhaust.
