manifold bracket broken

on the manifold i'm about to put on my xsi, (a gmc/btb 4-1) I have just realised the bracket that bolts to the gearbox underneath has been cut away, worth worrying about? don't wanna go snapping/bending exhaust pipes that's all, seems a hell of a weight to put the exhaust studs on the head

    No it will be fine..

Its made with a bracket, it's supposed to have one.

It will probably be ok without one but personally for a few quid, I would get one.

some manifolds dont even come with them fitted, so I reckon it'll be fine

could just get a bit of scrap metal cut and drilled to fit, but I reckon it'll be fine

my supersprint mani didnt come with one. I'd say you will be fie

I've used my SS mani without a bracket (didnt come with one) for over 2 years now, be fine.

I cut mine off because it didn't line up! My sump guard has rested on the manifold numerous times after a big impact and is completely fine! Don't worry about it!

on my 1.5D the exhaust hangs entirely from the manifold and the back box

To the op if your worried then find a scrap exhaust, cut the bracket off & weld onto the new exhaust.
