Mini Oil Filter For Rocker Cover

  1. #1
Im considering buying a Mini Oil Filter for the top of my rocker cover, what are peoples opinions on these and what effect do they have? Also the end of the original breather pipe that connects to the throttle body, is there anyway to bung that up or is it best left as it is?

Either run it to a catch tank or leave it as it is imo, they only stop the oil vapours from the crank case getting back into the inlet and dirtying it up.

catch tank is a better idea, had a breather filter on mine and made the bay oily and could smell the vapours coming through the vents on idle

Ok so wheres the best place to get a catch tank and how cheap can u get them for? Do they connect to the throttle body or somewhere else? Or is it even worth me getting a mini oil filter or just leave the breather pipe where it is?

Does anyone know what the difference between a standard mini breather filter and an anodised one is? Also i measured the little bit of pipe thats part of my rocker cover and it was 16mm, closest mil diameter i can get a mini filter is 15? Any suggestions or does any1 know the exact dimension for a 1.4 furio rocker cover pipe?? :/

I believe the anodised one will have a better durability, nothing more, you can get mini filters with several dimensions on ebay, just buy a 18mm one if the breather pipe is 16mm then an hose clamp to fit it.

Thanks man, probs get a 15mm one as the guide said its the inner measurement which was roughly 15mm, can always send it back if its wrong, my mate said its not worth bothering with a catch tank
