Additives for 64k vtr

   Just bought a Vtr mk2, was going to get a stem seal conditioner additive, is there anything else actually worthwhile getting in terms of additives, I am fully aware that most of these things are nothing more than snake oil.

   Wouldn`t waste you`re money mate,other than an engine flush & a good service with quality oil etc.

   I didn't do a flush as i heard they can do more harm than good, but judging by the colour of the changed oil maybe I should have!

   what I do is fill it up with a cheapo 10w40 and new filter, run it til its warm then drain that out and then fill with good stuff and a good brand filter.
   Either that or take the sump off to give it a good clean but thats a bit extreme

   Flushing an engine is not something i`d do on a regular basis,but if i`ve just bought a new car & don`t know its full history then i`ll do just the one flush.
