Sazo 1.1I Desire 2000 - can I put on a bigger alternator??

   I am just prepping my little 1.1I desire for another adventure around the baltic Sea and the alternator has seized as well as having a hair line crack in it so Im looking to get another one.
   
   I have a 2nd battery fitted that is also charged when the engine is running and when it needs it which is controlled by a relay as I use a hell of a lot of juice charging all the gadgets I need as well as a fridge
   
   Do I have to get the exact same model alternator or can I put a bigger, higher voltage one on and would it make any difference to charging etc??

   Will be fine, just make sure the connectors on the alternator is the same.

   So I can connect any alternator with any size output as long as it fits the connectors?
