Engine and gearbox mounts

  1. #1
Hello, do having powerflex engine and gearbox mounts make much difference? Other than the engine shaking a lot less! Thanks

Engine shakes a lot less, but the vibration has to go somewhere.

Guess where it goes, through the bodywork very very noisy.

    great upgrade though.

    Haha fair enough! thanks

You'll feel more vibration through the steering wheel and pedals but the positive is a much more positive "engagement" when driving, especially when changing gear

I put a powerflex in my 1.5D and I totally agree.

What? £20 for a lower mount?

and peanuts for the top buffer as well?

Unless you fit a solid engine and upper gearbox mount.

Is it bearable on a daily use Saxò? i don't mind some more vibrations if they're not excessive.

Vibrates more when new but overtime you can barely tell tbh.

I thought the powerless ones weren't meant to wear out? Maybe you just get used to the vibration

I dont mind a little vibration, I've been contemplating getting the lower mounts for mine (non saxo) so I think i'll probably give it a go... Its not like they're expensive anyway.

Might help reducing the movement in the engine and tighten things up. Cant seem to find any upper 'uprated' mounts for mine.

    Cheers
