No powersteering, heaters or fan

I was driving a few days ago and the head unit turned itself off, I didn't think too much of it as it came back on afterwards. But then my power steering, heater and fan stopped working too and still don't work.

Now I think I know cause As my car had an issue after a vts conversion(few years ago) , the fans weren't working properly and power steering stopped as well. So we wired it into the ignition and ran a wire from a live in the engine bay to the power steering (dirty trick to get it working).

But that wire got squashed against the battery and touched the bare metal (you see the wire got melted a bit) so I know that shorted something out, but not 100% sure what it could be, as its affecting fan and heater.

    Any ideas?

    Maybe the alternator?
When mine went i lost my heaters too and my head unit went off.
Have you used a volt meter on the battery to check charge levels both when the car isn't running and when it is?

Alternator seems fine, I have a voltmeter in my car as I got alot of high powered amps, and voltage is floating at 13.7 to 13.9 with music on, i drove the car yesterday.

All other electrics seem fine, so could it really be that?

    Checked fuses?

Ignition barrel could be goosed, this used to be the go-to answer when pas, demister and blowers all died.

Radio is fine, it only turned off then came back on and is fine. I changed a few fuses, but the wire I had wired from the ignition to the power steering pump is damaged, well I cut and taped the wire as this is what caused the issue in the first place. So I can understand why the power steering wont on as I haven't replaced this wire (I hope I'm making sense). As for the fan this could also be the issue as the fan was wired in to always be on and its not working now.

I have a questions guys could it be a relay for the fan, do the heater and fan share a relay etc etc, I'm only asking as they both went at the same time?

Go down the scrappy & get a pas loom, then cut out the bad section of wiring & splice in the new loom.
