VTR/VTS conversion ECU problems

   Hey guys, my names Katie and I have a mk1 VTR
   That my friends have just swapped in a VTS lump
   Basically it won't start. Turns over and has fuel
   Was told the ECU has been unlocked
   
   All is in and have both VTR and VTS looms currently its the vts loom plugged in at the single plug above the EPAS pump
   But like I say it just won't fire
   
   Would it be a case of splicing looms or plugs or what?
   I've tried to use the search function but no one quite seems to have the same problem
   So here I am posting this...

   Does a key sign flash on the dash when you crank over?

   Ahh I can't remember! Guessing that may be the 'key" to it working or not?

   Balls! Would it be a case of new ECU or can they be unlocked?

   It will need unlocking and as it goes i unlock them

    Hi Katie.
    
    When you swapped the new ECU in, was the immobiliser removed from behind the dash? That's probably why it's re-locked itself.
    
    Cam, £62!? what a rip trolololol Do you remove the serial pin? so it can never re-lock?
