Bad engine vibration near airbox!

    I have noticed my engine has got a very bad vibration but seems to be more around the air box area... When I put my hand on the airbox the sound dies down a little bit but the vibration is still there. I guess most would say 'yeah its an old diesel what do you expect' but it never used to be like this.

    Not sure about the diesel but on my vtr there is a plastic spike that locates into a bracket that has a hole lined with a rubber "o" ring. there was no rubber o ring on mine so it rattled like a bastard. I replaced with a £2 Halfords one and been fine ever since. Maybe worth a try.

    Is this one the air box? As I have replaced the rubber shoes on the air box thinking that was the problem but hasn't done anything. The engine itself is vibrating causing the airbox the vibrate
