Fitting ARP Bolts?

  1. #1
    Hi guys.

can somebody shed some light on fitting the above please? i wont be doing it myself but id like to know what work is involved..

are the fitted from the bottom of the block? or does the head, pistons etc need removing?

im just wondering if its actually worth having these fitted?

looking to squeeze the most out of my engine before going the hi comp route etc..

    cheers josh

    What sort of arp bolts?

Bolts will not do anything power wise... Personally i would just use the original ones.
You are referring to the head bolts right?

I'm talking about Conrod bolts lads.

so i can extended my rev limit and squeeze slightly more out of my bodied rallye. Running phase 3 etc.
"Provides insurance against stretching and failure of standard big end cap bolts which can cause engine failure".

Are these fitted from the bottom up or do the rods need removing from the block?

bottom up with the rods etc all in place

What sort of revs you thinking of going to? Standard bolts are good to about 7800ish. No point in revving higher if there's no power there anyway!

waste of money tbh, std bolts are not known for failing within std rpm.

think they are designed for prolonged use over 7500rpm, but the question is will your car produce any more power by rasiing the limit? and how long you planning on staying at that kind of rpm for? my bodied saxo was mapped to 7800rpm but fuck staying that high for too long just on the odd blast lol

im looking at hitting the track lot next year so it will be piece of mind.

if a hi comp lump comes available i will buy it but until then..
