All earth's are fine can get the starter motor to kick in by bridging it however, first click of ignition all is well 2nd click the power steering pump comes on... as if the altimeter wires are dodgy but there fine too, go to start it up nothing happens

Replaced the engine loom now and the car cranks over ecus u locked fuel pumps priming but there's no spark now worst conversion iv ever done... shit 2nd hand parts off idiots on certain forums lol trying another loom tonight as I'm thinking there's a issue with the crank sensor wiring

Had the same problem with mine, was the Crank sensor..

I'll give it a try! Changed crank sensor last night but the wiring been butchered before

Make sure the kill switch is clicked in

fuel pump priming is not a sure way of telling the ECU is unlocked. the fuel pump primes regardless of immobilise state

Take a spark plug out, if there's no fuel in the cylinders it's your ECU.

Crank sensor only affects spark iirc.

As above a crank sensor sends a signal to the coil pack.

    no it doesnt, not directley
A crankshaft sensor montiors where the pistion/crank is in relation to TDC or when the valves open and sends a signal to the ECU to control ignition timing.

The crank sensor doenst send the signal to the coilpack, just relays information to the ecu to trigger the primary ignition of a coil or coilpack

Thanks for input lads I bought a new loom last night and she's now up and running! 2 bad looms was the cause of my problems not sure why

Exactly the same thing happened to mine after a gear box change, all earths were earthed but the battery negative was on the top of the gearbox (with a yellow and green wire)

I moved it to where it should be and it started first time

You know more than me but might be worth checking!

Edit: read all the posts before posting!!

I had to move a couple of earth's but my god by far the hardest conversion iv ever done.... never buy anything from Chesterfield that's my my advice lol

Full conversion for me cost £100 for engine gearbox ecu and loom ecu and loom didn't work replacment loom cost me £10 and 15 in fuel, and then 50 on the second loom that didn't work but the ecu does! £120 on cam belt water pump gearbox oil engine oil fuel filter fuel return lines and twin fan setup 20 on a large rad and we'll that's about it!

How did you get a conversion for £100??

    Is it in good nick?

Ebay conversions are 250-300 and all high milers
