Gmc ultimate road cams

Anyone have any experience with these ?
They look exactly what I'm looking for at a good price!

Just wondering if they will run unmapped ? Would only be for a few months while I decide what management I want etc

With me being in Scotland I've heard good reviews about GMC as a company so I assume the cams will be good

Im sure the cams will be good. Not sure running them unmapped is such a good idea though. Dunno howmuch they cost but wouldnt purchasing a stand alone ecu first be a better idea?

Yeah they will be good and yeah you can run without a map just adjust timing till it idles happy , then wen ur ready just get a standalone and map it up

True but they're very similar to 708s and ph3s and loads of people have ran them unmapped for a considerable amount of time.

Never know if I sort out the ecu side sooner than I think then they will be mapped right away

Exactly same as Kyle said I've ran a set of Newman phase 3 cams unmapped for over a year and a half and if you can put up with them causing the car to idle poor and occasionally cut out then go for it I've put it with it and don't find it too much of a problem.
    I say go for it

I had some cams unmapped and they stalled every time I stopped at lights.

Lol that is coz u didn't adjust the idle hence why it kept cutting out.
I've adjusted mine and only does it now and again.

I retarded my mates catcams and unmapped it just stalls nearly every time it gets to a junction

I run Catcam '743's' on standerd timing & map and its perfect never had a problem with stalling.

these will run fine on std ecu --if idle is rougher than it was with std cams --then close thex cam a lttle --
ideally if running with no mapping change to a 4.5bar fuel reg that will add enough at top end to stop it gong lean and lambda can sort out the closed loop part of the map no problem .
If however its not the best idling car before cams, then maybe you should sort that first as higher lift cams will never improve idle
