    Hey people

    Need some advice

I have a vts engine with everything ready to go except for the loom which i will need spliced and a s box. Also will have to get a fuel return pipe.

I also have a vtr piper bp 285 cam with springs as well and also have a new cambelt and head gasket.

Now the question is which should i do?

    I can get either done??

Vts advantages is its an instant 20bhp and it has a new mani

Vtr advantages is its easier to do and i won't have to faff about with looms and my fuel won't be as worse as a s engine. And no insurance and tax change!

    So stuck ((

Will be getting remap on either but with vts i will be getting newmans which is more money.

    Any help will be good.

The vts gives you more potential for power in the future... But then as you said its more costly for tax/ fuel and insurance

The vtr engine with the cam and once mapped will be pretty decent tbh stick a vts box on it aswell and that should keep you happy

With the hassle of the 8v head coming off etc i would just drop the 16v in tbf.

What will the r be like on fuel once cammed? And is the r and s in differnt tax brackets then?

Tax won't change. You can put a v8 engine in and tax will remain the same.

Vts is in a different league to a Vtr.

Yeah thats what i thought. Stick the s in it matey you know you want to

Vts engine would still be better than a clammed vtr engine. Fuel consumption would be the same. Would be easier to cam the vtr but if you can I'd drop in the Vts lump
