Remote Fuel Pump

  1. #1
I am planning on what I am going to do to my next Saxo when I get it sometime early next year and I was wondering how to fit a remote fuel pump in it?
I am wanting it as a track car for the road, so wanting a control panel with switches etc. so would like a switch to turn the fuel pump on and what other switches could I have?
    Cheers

Why do you need this? A proper set up with a swirl pot etc would be more beneficial

It depends, some that use them for competition will have battery kill switches, fuel cut off, ignition and push button starts.

How do I go about fitting ignition and fuel cut off?? For fuel cut off do I use the circuit that goes to the button already in the engine bay?

Picture fuel sloshing about in the fuel tank, as the level drops, the fuel sloshes about more, when you go round a corner the fuel will surge to one side, this could be the opposite side to the pump so the pump just sucks a load of air for a few seconds and sends it towards your injectors, once this hits your injectors the engine runs lean and bang!

Pumping to a swirl pot gives the pump a constant even supply that doesn't slosh about so fuel surge it's eradicated.

    In a nut shell.

    It also deairates the fuel.

I have a complete setup for sale with switch, relay and wiring.

Ok ok so basically good if not running a full tank etc? What do I need to run this setup? A new fuel tank orrr? How much you wanting etc?
