Piper exhaust fitting?

  1. #1

Just got this outward rolled piper Back box which has a FEMALE connection on it the same as my super sprint race tube, my original back box has a male connection on it meaning there is no need for a gasket but if i fit this back box it's obvious that if I don't fit one it will blow badly, where can I get one of these gaskets ...?

I had a similar problem mate. But just cut the female bit off the piper then connected the two with a sleeve.

Why on earth would you ruin a perfectly good exhaust? As above, all you need is a max £5 gasket to sit in between the two

Had two now it's deffo a piper, although the guy I got it off had it on a 1.1 so had the connecting end exstended abit for some reason, I guess to make it stick out of the bumper further ?

But yeah it's a piper for sure, I've ordered the gasket

Didn't look like that would cut it so went down the sleeve route. Also its on the car and working well so I wouldn't call it ruined!

Ok, well if you think cutting your nice piper up instead of using a simple £5 gasket isn't ruining it, then fair play

Well it wasn't the best way round it but it was a second hand unit which now works fine! Also as said the gasket looked dodgy as fuck when it was on there! Just didn't trust it :s
