#2Yeh you'll get it in the boot with the seats down.
Haha yeh I think someone's done it, anythings possible when you put your mind to it -
#3Lol not the kind of answer I was looking foe I mean I want to change the engine in my saxo from a 1.5 to a pug 306 1.9 turbo deisel cheer jack

#4I believe someone's done it in a pug 106 but I don't know the details of how they did it. Probably involves new custom mounts, pump setup etc but I'm not familiar with the engine in the 306

#5just buy a 306.

#6IMHO it would be more hassle than its worth.
The 1.5d is a good wee motor,I had one years ago and it ran on fresh air,the fuel gauge rarely budged,it was brilliant. -
#7I just want the saxo to be quicker that all any advice on upgrades that I can do to the 1.5 d engine to make 8t have more power instead of the 58 its got lol
-
#8Yes it's possible and has been done before. There is a vid of a 106 with an xud9 on YouTube. Also search on 106 owners under my username for my progress thread and links to other threads I've commented on on the same question.

#10There is an idiot on the 306oc who has fabricated a turbo on to the 1.5
No other major mods just an uprated pump! -

Whys that bad? Providing he fuels it right with the right boost etc. there's a guy on metropower doing the same as rover 100s could be specced with a TUD

#12Nowt wrong with that at all. The diesels are pretty hardy and will stand a reasonable amount of boost. Unfortunately, the standard clutch can't handle more torque than the tud5 kicks out with about 8 psi behind it.Quote:There is an idiot on the 306oc who has fabricated a turbo on to the 1.5

Anyway, hers the youtube vid to prove that an XUD9 into a 106/saxo can be done http://youtu.be/TUvBjyib6Tg
One thing I do know from experience, the XUD9 won't fit with the standard top mount intercooler that the 306 comes with. The reason being that the standard manifold clouts the brake servo, so you will need a manifold like that seen in the vid above. That style manifold comes in stuff like an 806/zantia/xsara etc. -
#13I can't imagine it wouldn't be the most exciting conversion to be done considering the 2.0 d turbo or 1.9 lump has similar power to a vtr, right enough you'll have a 2.0 td but the sheer weight difference in the front would surely have drastic effects on the handling.
