16v conversion question

   this might be a stupid question but would a mk1 1plug engine loom and ecu work with a mk2 engine and gear box in a 2000 1plug 1.6vtr ? struggling to find a mk1 vts with low miles but plenty of 3plug 16vs about, I know I could change over the chassis plug over for fitting the full 3plug 16v engine, loom and ecu etc.
   
   Could it be done with just the engine loom and ecu from a 1plug vts ?

   If you splice the looms then yeah! An as for more 3 plug 16vs about ?! Where the fuck you looking ?!:0 3 plugs are few and far between!

   There's a guy on here that does it for £80 my mate got his done by him for his vtr to gti conversion
