Saxo Vtr 2002 heater matrix bypass?

  1. #1
    Hi,
I've got a leak in my heater matrix that keeps filling my drivers footwell with liquid, I know nothing about car engines but have done a search on google and found out that its possible to bypass the heater matrix untill I'm able to get it fixed.
    Is this true?
If so will it cause any problems?

also if this is possible could some one please post some pics and/or a video of what I need to do please.

just need it as a temp fix till I can get over my uncle's who can help me replace the heater matrix for me.

    thanks

What you need to do is find the two pipes that feed the matrix through the bulkhead into the cabin. Drain the cooling system,Remove the pipes from the bulkhead most likely you'll need to cut them, then just together using some suitable pipe and some jubilee clips.
Fill the cooling system and bleed then you are done. You won't have heat inside the car but at least the cooling system for the engine will function as it should
