Can't get replacement engine to work properly

    Can anyone help me? I have replaced my 1.4vtr with a 1.6vtr engine, but with everything sorted and done, the throttle sensor on the 1.6 doesnt work properly with my 1.4s brain. When the automatic choke goes of it wont rev up, and can just about idle.

    You're running a 1.4 ECU on a 1.6 engine? Common sense says its going to tell the engine to fuel the amount of air and fuel that is needed by a 1.4, not 1.6 so it will be under fuelling and everything...hence why its probably not running right...

    Spot on, you need the 1.6 ecu.
