Recommended exhaust for motorway driving?

I'm after a new exhaust setup, but i'm trying to get the best of both worlds, something that sounds better than standard, along with something that isn't going to become annoying along motorway journeys seeing as I do 40 miles to work and back most days.

Can anyone recommend something that might be what i'm looking for? And the best setup? At the moment I'm sort of against getting a manifold due to having to take it on and off for the MOT, I know it's strongly suggested to get one for the best exhaust tone, bhp etc..

I do 300 miles a week, motorway driving, VTR with full piper system, including piper manifold, and I haven't blown by brains out with the noise!

Okay thanks for the recommendation, I remember being in the back of my sisters ex's civic, he had a huge back box on it, and after 2 minutes at 70mph, it drove me absolutely mad, just a horrible drone constantly.

    Magnex... If they're still available.

Supersprint magnum back box is fine for everyday driving, not too loud but it has nice sporty sound...
