Cambelt cover

   Not sure if this should be in here or in styling but meh, close enough
   Anyway, has anyone made a clear cambelt cover before? Or will I be ok just not having a cover on at all?
   Just wondering for my VTR, think it looks much better without the standard cover on and being able to see the cambelt and pulleys

   when i cammed my vtr i left the cover off. never had a problem with it. but if the belt does snap it will damage bits in the area.

   I have a new cambelt so I will/you will be fitting that so hopefully it shouldnt snap!

   you get the full kit - with tensioner? and you want water pump doing as well?

   I have new water pump too yeah but not belt tensioner? Shall I invest before we do the head rebuild?

   reason ppl run the cover is to stop stones and road debris getting in the belt and chucking it or damaging it
   
   chances really are slim...so its a risk you take..but if you do..leave the lower cover on or chop it down so at least the lower half is protected
   
   risk you run then though..if a stone gets into the cover..it cant get back out..so it WILL end up under the belt

   Hmm true, I'll have a look when its off and see what I think! Looks so much better without it but it could be a lot at risk so I'll see, cheers
