Servicing a saxo yourself?

Want to service my car myself but I don't really know where to start? Am guessing you drain all the oil and flush out the engine somehow? And replace the filter? Does anyone have a guide I can look at? Cheers

For a quick service, I'd generally do:
    Oil & filter
    Air filter
    Coolant change
    Spark plugs

For a more in-depth service I'd do the above plus:
    Disk & Pads
    Fuel filter
possibly brake fluid depending on age and history
Then give everything else a quick look over and replace anything that needs done.

I would pretty much do all of this once you have bought a car unless you know the history
    plus change the gearbox oil

Saxo is one of the easiest cars to work on, get yourself a Haynes manual and read up on the procedures before you tackle them.

It's all nice and straight forward, just take your time and enjoy the process.

When I do a service I just got get the haynes manual from the library, lot better than paying £20+ for one from halford.

That's incredibly stingey. You can get them for a few quid lol, cheaper than a library card.

If you factor in the cost of going to and fro the library, and that it might be out or missing pages, seems a bit pointless!
