  1. #1
    hey guys,
    i know it's kinda morrony to ask;
but what pain in the arse do you get when changing a saxo from fuel to diesel, and what are all the components to takeoff/replace/add to make it completly in a working state?
    also the estimated time please.
    thank's ya'll

    Diesel is fuel.

    So you've already done it!

    Diesel is a 1.5 not a 1.1.

You'd need all the enginey bits from a petrol one and the electricy brainy bits, and the petrol holdertanky thing and the pipes.

    Why???

    Why???

Why not just buy a diesel? Saxos are dirt cheap now

diesel sucks, i just wanted to be informed if it's possible to transform a diesel saxo to a petrol one... i don't own a diesel n i ll never will
i know that the whole engine have to be changed but just tell me what other parts have to be replaced except for the engine..

Make sure you don't get the right one by accident, the diesel has the right filangy and the petrol had the left one

We're not your fucking servants so don't speak to us as if we owe you all the information you want. You want a petrol instead of a diesel? Well done dick head, buy the right car next time!
  14. #14
Well you'd need a new fuel system. And a new engine. And management.

Literally not worth it. Buy a petrol saxo. It'll be less than the parts. So much hassle for no reason whatsoever.

just don't cry kid. keep your incompetence for your self & learn how to read.. also spell, thanks ; NEXT.

Oli-VTR thanks for such a perfect answer.
newbies should learn how to be mature enough and follow the rules.

    close the thread.

I just don't get why you'd ask if you have no intention of ever doing the conversion, you'd never own a diesel and you hate diesels??

Its just a waste of peoples time. You could do the research if you're really that interested but by the sounds of it you aren't. Or that's what you would have done.
Please do close the thread, its pointless.

it actually became pointless after your immature replies.
obviously every topic becomes pointless after both o your replies.
and i had the intention to make the convertion, but tripped after seeing such immaturity from such a great forum, both your attitude made of you such a disgrace. Peace

FYI. Not read the above posts. It would alot easier to just buy a petrol

Aly on here was going to conver his 1.5d 106 to petrol 1.6 8v and fooked it off because it was a massive headache.

Fuel lines etc etc need to be changed dude.

Why do the fuel lines need to be changed?

By way of factual response, you'll need a petrol engine, and ecu wiring.

It would indeed be far easier to buy a petrol car, but it's no harder than a proper 16v conversion on an S1.

Worst case you'd need to add a fuel return line if there wasn't one, and either flush the tank / swap it with a petrol one.

In all honesty it'd be easier to swap the tank, it's only held in with 2 bolts.

After that, drop the engine and box out, lash the petrol loom in, lash the fuel return in, if for some reason you don't have one, and then drop the petrol engine and box in.

    Happy Days.

He mentioned it. Pm Aly The tank would have to be dropped also to empty/clean it.
