mk1/mk2 looms/engine etc

   I'm putting the same year vtr engine/box into my car, but i want to change the ecu and engine loom too. if i get the ecu unlocked, do i still need the transponder ring/immob box and key from other car or can i still use my key and ring?

   if its unlocked properly you dont need anything else.
   
   what's wrong with the existing ecu?

   Is there any difference from a mk1 vtr engine and loom, to a mk2 engine and loom (other than bhp )

   I'm putting in a mk1 vtr engine (crossover year, so mk1 engine but mk2 car) into my mk2 vtr, do the main plugs from mk1 engine loom fit the mk2 interior loom?
   If not, what is needed to make the mk2 engine loom work with the mk1 engine?
