vts problem, please help!

hi guys new on here but having a bit of trouble with my car, its a 2000 w reg vts single plug and i cant get it through emissions, runs sweet as a nut passed everything but emissions, have changed the CAT and lambda sensor and still no good, the MOT tester said it seems like its overfueling and says i need it plugging into diagnostics computer, where can i get this done in yorkshire? and also the car sometimes has a slight missfire and occasionally cuts out at traffic lights, any help appreciated! joe

slight miss-fire could be coilpack, it's a common fault on the 16v's, likewise the MAP sensor, which could explain the cutting out at traffic lights, that or the Idle Control Valve.

The MAP sensor could conceivably fuck up the fuelling if it thinks it's getting a different amount of air to what it's actually getting, so I'd start with that.
