Anyone able to tell me what work is required to make a gti6 engine for into a saxo vtr. Possibly got my hands on an engine and break set up to. Just looking for more info

People have been there and done it. Far better to just tube the tu5j4 lump.

#5Pahaha^^^^ all you need to make 2 vts engines fit a vts is some ' expert knowledge ' as we all know. Like ross said. Spend the money on tuning a 16v j4 / jp4. Youll be much better off for your money.

#6If you can do the work yourself then an engine swap can be a lot cheaper than an engine tune. Work out how much it costs to get a TU engine to a real 160bhp. Welding custom engine mounts and altering an exhaust tunnel is not rocket science. Wiring probably is not too bad if you grab a whole 306 loom.
Sadly as you are asking the most basic of questions you cannot do any work yourself.
