Charcoal canister

  1. #1
I'm looking at removing my charcoal canister, save a few grams of weight haha but it'll also get rid of some piping in the engine bay to keep it simple and my cars bogging down when accelerating on about half throttle, I replaced a few breather pipes with some blue tube I had in the garage, and it's better but still does it sometimes and I think it's generally being more of a pain than good.

Any running issues without it? Anything I should know? What about the plug that goes into the EGR valve etc?

there shouldn't be any running issues without the charcoal canister, from what i know, cap off the pipes and whatnot, and listen to it clang as you throw it in the bin lol

You don't want to cap off the pipes otherwise the tank can't vent properly

I know not to cap off the pipes, was thinking of sticking a little breather filter on the end of the pipe from the tank but then just get rid of the rest of the pipes? Then what about the EGR valve?

If the pipes are disconted from the egr valve the ecm will throw a fault code and trip your management light.
