Lowering my vtr

  1. #1
Looking to lower my vtr on the rear around 50 to 60 mm but I'm having abit of trouble I get the jist of what I need to do with the torsion bars and everything if I could get them out, all the torx seem to be seized I don't want to round them I was wondering if there's anyone that could help me that has a method of doing this or something I can take the axle off that's not a problem at all I live in Coventry/Nuneaton
Also I'd like to lower it on the front around 50 60 mm I have some springs but they have about had it so I'm looking for some springs and shocks eventually because I know my standard shocks won't last lowered I haven't exactly got a lot of money so cheap as possible but obviously decent make
any help or recommendations anything at all would be a appreciated

    Thanks Ryan

In regards to the torx bits. Get your torx socket on an extension and give it a good smash in with a hammer and just apply a lot of pressure when your turning it.

For the springs and shocks, apex is really the best quality for the cheapest price you will get, plenty of used sets kicking around.

If you want somewhere to lower your axle, IM Axles will do it. Just outside Nottingham which isn't too far for you.

As for shocks KAM racing sell a Apex kit which will do the business. Stay away from cheap eBay shit.

Edit - Jigs your a wanker!
