immobilizer problem

    hi all, i recently bought a vtr from a pal to stick in my 1.1, all went well only leads i couldnt find a home for is the fans and rad because they dont connect up.
    the guy i bought it from said he'd unlocked the ecu before taking it out, by removing the imobiliser while it was running.
    however when i finally finish, ive removed the imobilizer, i turn the ignition on and the key light begin flashing.
    the engine turns over, but the fuel pump isnt priming.
    i dunno what to do, thinking of just checking over the earths, if no luck taking it to an auto electrician to get the ecu unlocked properly which hopefully will work?

    So your blaiming the guy who sold it to you, you have locked it by leaving your immo plugged in.

    hi I'm in Basingstoke as well just done a GTI conversion if you would like i can have a look at yours for you but like the guy above said you have probably locked the ecu but i can unlock them so it will never lock again

    Thanks Cam. Exactly what i thought was the issue. As I have already said, I unlocked the ECU via the same method I have done 3 others and never had a problem.

    did blame the guy who sold it to me at all lol
    and turns out a didnt earth to the gearbox correctly so yeah lol thanks for your help
