J4 pipe next to dipstick

  1. #1
What's this big pipe next to the dip stick tube? It has an extra bit that went up to the end of the rocker cover but I've got JP4 cam covers now and it doesn't have the plug for it so where does it go/what does it do?

Sounds like your having a few issues With all the threads you've posted, why don't you put all your problems into 1 thread instead of several ones lol.

Have a look at mine if this is what your refering too!

Ohhh yeah sorry on closer inspection so does mine. I think I'll re-route mine like you've done with yours, what does it do though?

On the side of your engine you've got the blanking plate. What is supposed to be there? I've just got a vts and noticed today there is a round hole in the exact same spot but knew I had seen a pic somewhere on here which was similar but just come across this one with the blanking plate.

j4 has the breather pipe from head to block
if its jp4 it doesnt have the breather, if you are running jpr head you need to block the breather hole off on the block..

I'm new to the vts so wouldn't actually know the difference between j4 or the jp4 engines but looks different to the one I quoted if that makes any sense

That's mine, only noticed the hole as I've decided whilst it's not raining, to start the engine clean up operation and pull out the mushroom ready for the standard box, stopped soon as I noticed the hole.
