popping fuses for fun

  1. #1
Alternator packed in last week, changed it got my power steering back. Everything was fine for a week, all of a sudden power steering and heaters stopped working....fuse popped, changed the fuse everything was fine for all of 30 seconds before it popped again. Changed fuse yet again, as soon as i turn engine on it pops.
What is causing the fuses to pop like they're going out of fashion?

    Cheers

Brown wire from the ignition is dodgey by sounds of it, there is a trick to fix it somewhere
    or hammer?

Of its popping fuses that would usually be a dodgy wire somewhere, more likely in the ignition as jbrady has said or an earth. This is the guide to the fix though if it is the ignition switch http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27609
