Mk2 VTS oil temperature sensor

   Where is it located on the block?! I know it's somewhere down the back, just never found it since I referred my new loom, only thing that's not connected in the engine bay now, kind of annoying having a pointless gauge on the dash too!

   I might be wrong but isn't the gauge on the dash water temperature?
   
   On my VTR the Oil temperature probe is on the front of the block, between the exhaurst mani and the block. Bit below the oil filter IIRC.

   iirc mk1 had the sensor at the back of sump while mk2s have a combined oil level\temp at the front, above the oil filter.

   The mk2's have water and oil temp iirc? Mine are actually 106 GTi clocks but I'm sure they are we're the same gauges as the saxo ones I took out?

   My oil level works but the temperature doesn't? I have a crossover loom so it rubs a single plug ECU so maybe the plug was fitted but not used with the new sensors and it's just a dodgy sensor?
