saxo vtr key wont turn in door

    wonder if anyone can help

    picked up a 2001 vtr yesterday with one problem,

    cant lock the doors, and when i did i locked myself out leaving myself to break in with a metal coat hanger and now have to leave it unlocked

    right.... basically the key works fine in the ignition barrel and starts and what not, but i cant seem to lock the damn car with the key

    anyone know the reason to this.... ive tried slamming the shit out the door when closing and that aint worked and same with the bootlock ....cant think what else to do.

    i have a fob but even that dont work as its missing internal buttons on the chip itself, but im not to bothered about the fob my main concern is locking the door with the key

    key fits in, but cant turn it at all?

    any ideas?

    oh and one other thing, even if i had the fob working i cant reprogram it as i cant unlock with key.... as ive seen that posted elsewhere (unlock car and within 20secs press unlock twice)

    cant even do that lol

    I've had stuck locks and a bit WD sorted it out. Always worth a shout.

    If not take the lock out to inspect it.

    tried spray wd40 into the lock numerous occasions this morning... still nothing

    Is the key for the lock, possible changed at some point?

    aint got a clue, ive also been in touch with previous owner he said it use to work fine then it just stopped, who know? he may even be lyin to cover his back

    Should work unless the solanoids in the central locking are goosed. Hawk is easy to fit, worth £20

    sweet, gonna order it now and fit prob saturday using that thread

    central locking seems fine, when i push the door pin down whilst in drivers seat inside it all locks but i aint locking myself out again lol

    but anyway i appreciate the advice u gave me, topman!
