Loud whirring noise when clutch pedal down

For some reason my saxo has had a plague of issues all at the same time. Clutch cable is knackered and am hopefully changing that tonight but as of about 5 minutes ago, every time i dip the clutch i get this loud whirring noise... From searches it seems like release bearing but i changed this within the last 1500 miles as part of a valeo clutch kit.... Surely it can't be this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Possibly a bearing inside the box.

Noise when you put your foot on the clutch can only be on the engine side of things.

    i.e release bearing.

However, having come across this problem before, check your gearbox bolts are tightened fully and the gearbox isn't falling off the engine.

my Valeo release bearing is noisy but then for a while my box wasnt done up fully and the box itself was a bit low on oil - whoops. Now its back on properly with fresh oil of right amount and the noise has decreased somewhat

release bearing as it slides up and down the guide tube
