TUJ52 turbo

    Hi everyone
i am actually building an ax turbo with a swapped 5j2 engine.

I already drove it with the swapped 5j2, runs perfectly but...i want more

    So i decided to turbo!!!

Well, its a low boost and low budget build

    Turbo garrett m49 (T2 like but T25 exaust ) at ~0.7bars (10 psi)
    2L TCT injectors
Universal PNP map sensor (0-30psi) to take the extra air intake flow
Decomp plate + 2 head gaskets > block CR around 8.3
    Jp4 bottom end
    Tu5j2 head
    1.3 rallye cam
    r25 i/c...

I would like to know if is it possible to remap the oem ecu so it will run propelly with turbo ? i dont want 250hp.

oem ecu is Magnetti marelli iaw 8p.16.

I saw that people makes pnp chips for the ecu, is it possible to make one considering the turbo specs ?

    Cheers

    Yes it is possible.

Chipwizards seems to the the only true source of boosting the stock ecu.
I believe this is done by writing to a an eprom in a seperate unit, mapping it live and then installing the eprom in your ecu.
I did register on a site that assisted with the explanation...

if running low boost -no need for lowering comp --fit an aem fic controller to alter fuelling and ignition to suit -fit a w/band lambda gauge so you can tune to suit only where its on boost ,then it runs like std when not on boost -job done --all can be done by you
chipwizards will chrge yuo £400 for alering std ecu +you will need to go back to them if you want to change anything -- if doing some wiring scares you --then rest of the job is alos too much for you
