Just a thought, is it posible to adapt the rear calipers to fit vented discs on a vts?
Vented rear brakes

#2Not that I've ever seen. And there's no point - on a Saxo the rear brakes are basically just along for the ride. Even more so when fully stripped.1 user thanked this post:

#3Yes you can
Cituning used to do a spacer kit that fitted in between the caliper halfs and allowed you to use 306 s16 front disk on the rear as they are the same dismeter
Don't think they would be hard to make up1 user thanked this post: -

#6s16 discs are 266mm, so wont have been those, and theres no halves to a rear caliper.
a vented bendix pad carrier can be fitted from a front caliper and a 247mm disc used, not sure if there are other mods needed.
pointless added weight really. -
#7The front carrier from the older 205 vented setup i'm guessing. The offsets different though isn't it.Quote:s16 discs are 266mm, so wont have been those, and theres no halves to a rear caliper.

Like you say, fairly pointless. The rears on the xantia get as much use and it weighs about 400 more, and they're only piddly pads too! -
#8It seems it has been done before

I can't find the bracket from cituning so i guess they don't make them any longer -
#10Cars tend to run more front brake because under braking the weight is thrown forward and the rear wheels are unloaded. So the rear brakes do very little. If your doing a maxi rep with huge wheels and wish to fit bigger brakes for the look you may wish to consider skipping venting and just fit a larger solid disc.
