engine and loom compatibility

   Alright folks
   
   Got my eye on a vts engine. At the moment my car os a 3 plug ecu vtr. If the new engine came out of a single plug vts can I just get a 3 plug ecu and use that with my car and the engine?

   You'll need a three plug loom and you need to swap sensors about

   A 3 plug engine loom? Is the vts loom different to the vtr loom? And are the phase sensors in different places on single plugs?

   VTS loom is different as are the sensors. As to what sensors are different I've no idea

   Ideally you'll need the ecu and loom that was fitted to the vts engine,then there are no compatibility issues.

   Yeah don't think the ecu and loom are with it :/ might hold off then, don't wanna buy something that's gna be a ball ache. I'll hold out for someone selling it all together
