central locking

Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before but here is my issue,
1999 Citroen saxo 1.1 VL, have no fob and central locking not working from key, only just bought the car so wondering, 1, does it have central locking? And 2, if it does have cl where do I start from trying to solve my problem? Or can I just buy a fob aftermarket and if I do I'm thinking should it still be working from the key, hope this makes sense, thanks

i have a 2002 model my central locking only works from the drivers door but will lock and unlock all doors and boot your fault could be a number of things from bad fuse to broken wiring loom in door opening to a bad solenoid behind the door card.

if you have a multimeter maybe you can take the door card of and check if the solenoid has 12 volts going to it

this thread has some good pictures etc but remember your car may not be exactly the same as we have no fobs but it may give you some ideas on what to check etc
